ACCESS SCIENCE

Access Science gives you relevant, current, and practical information on the topics of science, technology, and mathematics. It is intended to help you in your studies and research in these areas. Like any encyclopedia, it is a good place to start when looking up basic, factual information.

Password/ login information can be found on the desktop of each library computer or you can ask a Librarian.

If you know what you're looking for you can:

>> Search Encyclopedia finds detailed or in-depth entries on your topic

• Simply type your search term(s) into the text box and click "Go"
• You can then sort your results list by relevance
• Type of resource.
• To read a specific article, simply click on the title.

>> Search Dictionary finds brief entries reviewing your topic

• Simply type your search term(s)into the text box and click "Go"
• To read a specific article, simply click on the title.

>> Or you can also use the Advanced Search search feature to construct a very precise search

• Type your search terms or phrases, then choose whether you want these to appear in the article tile, text, both text and title, bibliography or figure captions
• Then click search
• You can also specify what type of materials (encyclopedia articles, research articles, biographies, etc.) you would like to search .
• (Optional) Select topics to be searched (Agriculture, General, Physics, Psychology, etc.).
• Click the "Search" button.

• TOPIC - for nineteen topic areas listed in the middle of the home page.
• BIOGRAPHIES - of Nobel Prize and Fields Medals winners, arranged by Topic.
